This policy describes how GeoProof ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. GeoProof is developed by Priyank Patel. If you have questions, contact us at patelpriyankhere@gmail.com.
Account information. GeoProof requires an account to use. We use Clerk (a third-party authentication provider) to handle sign-up and sign-in via email code or Google sign-in. We store your email address and name (if provided) in our database to associate your account with the app. We do not store passwords ourselves — Clerk handles authentication.
Camera, microphone, and location. GeoProof's core feature is stamping photos and videos with your location. To do this, the app requests:
Photo library access. GeoProof saves your captures to your device's photo library and reads them back to show your gallery within the app.
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers necessary to run the app:
Your account data (email, name) is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app: Camera screen → Customize → Danger zone → Delete account. This permanently removes your account record from our database and your Clerk account. Your locally saved photos/videos are not affected, since they were never stored on our servers — you can delete them from your device's gallery independently.
If you'd like to request account deletion without using the app, email us at patelpriyankhere@gmail.com with the email address associated with your account, and we will delete your account record within 7 days.
GeoProof is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
